I deliver all tiered cakes to ensure safe arrival and set up of your cake. I transport all tiers separately and assemble at your venue, taking my time to add any features, such as flowers, making sure it is the perfect showpiece for your special day
I liaise with your venue and any other necessary suppliers in the weeks leading up to your wedding to confirm my delivery times and any other logistics, so you really don’t have to worry about a thing!
There is so much involved in delivering a cake, more than you might expect, from the transportation itself - making sure the positioning and temperature in the vehicle is right, through to setting up at your venue, ensuring the structure is correct and that any flowers or other elements are added in a food safe way. Plus cake is a lot heavier than you might expect!
The price for delivery and set up will depend on your venue and distance from me in North Hykeham, Lincoln. Prices you see on my website do not include delivery and set up for this reason and I am happy to advise on enquiry and quote.
COLLECTION
If you have ordered a single tier cake, it is possible for you to collect this from me in North Hykeham, Lincoln. Collection dates and times are by prior appointment only.
When collecting your cake, you will need to transport it in the flattest place possible; I recommend the footwell of your car or boot space. I recommended that you ensure the area is clean before you arrive to collect and also not too hot. Please be aware that placing your cake on a seat, lap, or uneven surface, even for a small journey, may affect the stability and internal structure of your cake, which could result in irreparable damage.

On warm or hot days, you must travel with the air conditioning on or windows open, to keep the environment as cool as possible before collecting and with your cake on board. You should take your cake straight to your venue where possible. If you take the cake home first, please ensure it is kept in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and stored in the packaging provided. Further transport to the venue should be made using the guidelines above. It is not recommended for you to keep/store the cake in your vehicle for any period of time.
DAMAGE REPAIRS
Please note that once the cake has left our premises or possession, we are no longer liable for any damage that may be incurred. However, we understand that accidents can sometimes happen, and we will try our best to help should damage be incurred. If any repairs are required at any point after the cake has left the premises, and only if a repair is possible and there is availability for us to do so, the repair may be subject to charge and is at manager’s discretion. Any charge should be paid on return of the damaged cake before the repair can commence.
If guidelines are followed you should have no problems transporting your cake and enjoying it in perfect condition for your celebration.
