I recently had the privilege to take part in my first wedding photoshoot and discover a new idyllic wedding venue just outside of my home city.
Dunstall Farm is a country setting in Sutton on Trent, easily accessible and just a short drive for me from Lincoln.

Driving onto the working farm property you are met with a beautiful farm house leading to a walled barn space and courtyard, perfectly enclosed for weddings and events, and as the venue is now licensed for ceremonies it is a great choice for an all inclusive wedding day.
This shoot was organised by wedding and event decor specialist, Laura from Elegance by Laura Elizabeth, who had already arrived on site to decorate the wedding barn area. On walking into this space I was absolutely speechless. Having not set up a wedding for nearly 9 months at this point, I wasn’t prepared for the stunning arrangements and absolutely breathtaking aesthetics of the barn and decor!
The room was bright with high ceilings and beautiful wooden beams. Large glass doors let in even more light on each side, giving the rustic barn a modern and elegant feel too.

The tall glass and floral table arrangements by Elegance by Laura Elizabeth filled the room with grace and her backdrops added extra romance, allowing for the perfect setting for my cake to sit against.

Our photographer for the day was Sophie Ruck Photography and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. Sophie was so relaxed and guided us throughout the day, offering her expert advice whilst listening to what each supplier wanted to showcase too. Couples booking Sophie for their wedding would easily be able to relax knowing that their photos will be everything you want and more.
Laura’s brief for this photoshoot was elegant, white florals and green foliage. For this, I created a three tier cake in my most popular size, which would serve up to 120 portions (don’t worry this was a display cake so none went to waste). All three tiers are white suagrpaste with a subtle ruched texture with 9 full white sugar roses plus additional buds and green rose leaves.

Dunstall Farm is now licensed for ceremonies as well as reception events, giving you the opportunity for an all inclusive wedding day. The barn offers true rustic charm in a bright modern way, and in combination with Elegance by Laura Elizabeth you really couldn’t ask for more!
