Upcoming Lincolnshire Wedding Fairs & My Top Tips for Making the Most of Them

Updated: Nov 13

Wedding fairs are one of my favourite parts of the job. There’s something so special about meeting couples in person for often the first time, seeing their excitement, chatting about their plans, and helping them navigate the initial stages of wedding planning!

Lincolnshire Wedding Fairs

I’ll be attending a couple of lovely local wedding fairs this November, and I’d love for you to come and say hello, and of course I will have cakes to try there too:

📅 Sunday 16th November — The Lincoln Hotel, 1pm–4pm

📅 Sunday 23rd November — Cupids Wedding Fair at the Lincolnshire Showground, 11am–3pm

If you’re newly engaged or in the middle of wedding planning, these events are such a great way to get inspiration, meet suppliers face-to-face, and see everything from cakes and dresses to florals and photographers all in one place.

My Top Tips for Attending Wedding Fairs

Whether it’s your first fair or your fifth, a little preparation can help you make the most of your visit. Here are some of my top tips:

1. Create a dedicated wedding email address. Wedding fairs can be busy, and you’ll likely chat with lots of suppliers. Having a separate email (something like nameandnamewedding@email.com) keeps all your wedding-related info in one place and stops your regular inbox from becoming overwhelming.

Bonus tip - print some stickers with your names, wedding date, venue and contact details on. It will save you writing your info on enquiry forms at the fair.

2. Make a list of key suppliers or categories you want to focus on. If you already know you need to find a cake maker (👋), florist, or photographer, make a short list so you can prioritise who to visit first.

3. Prepare a few questions in advance. It’s easy to get swept up in the excitement! Having some questions ready or even just some bullet points to remind you can help you gather the info you really need.

4. Bring a notebook (or use your phone notes). You’ll see so many amazing ideas and designs, it’s worth jotting down which stands caught your eye. Snap photos (with permission) if something inspires you.

5. Don’t feel pressured to make decisions on the day. Wedding fairs are about inspiration. Take leaflets, brochures, samples, and contact details home, and make decisions when you’ve had time to think.

6. Enjoy it! Wedding planning should be fun, and fairs are a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in the excitement. Take your partner, family, or friends and make a day of it!

I’ll have plenty of cake samples, design inspiration, and time to chat about all things wedding cake. Whether you’re dreaming of a rustic buttercream creation or a detailed sugarpaste design, I’d love to hear your ideas.

If you’re heading to either fair, please come and say hi.
